For Lift Truck Training

An additional service being offered by ourselves is Fork Lift Truck training. This is a, sometimes overlooked, integral part of the logistics and haulage industry.

Every year there are approximately 8,000 reportable injuries involving fork lift trucks. This can cause damage to employees, not to mention a severe cost to the business.

These accidents are commonly linked to the lack of suitable and sufficient training. Recognising this, we can offer training courses using our own RTITB registered instructor (as accepted by the HSE). This is as an early step to reducing injury and damage.

Courses are tailored to suit the need of the individual and will cover or refresh skills as required. Meeting the safe test standard of operation by both a theory and practical test, which concludes the course.

On completion a certificate will be issued by ourselves which is recognised by the HSE.

Manual Handling Awareness

Another important activity in the transport industry is manual handling. More than a third of reportable incidents are handling related. Approx. 50% of these being back problems.

We offer manual handling awareness courses in a bid to reduce these injuries. This reduces downtime of both ‘man and machine’.

Courses can be held on-site at your own premises, or at our site at Warsop. The course objectives are:

  • The principles of safe handling
  • Awareness of injury causation
  • How to lift safely

This is an attend only course wit no examination, certificates are given upon completion.
